Been a long time coming but I'm finally reading Powerlifting Basics, Texas Style and it's fantastic. Might fully try this simple bench training routine at some point but for now I'm going to give these bench shrugs a go.

    1. Same here, it's amazing how novel that simple ideas can be. I'm really enjoying the read and I'm probably going to pick up Purposeful Primitive next thanks to your review. I've had these book samples in my Kindle for at least 5 years but I got burnt out reading about lifting at some point (through no fault of these authors' or anything, I think it was mostly T-Nation that did it for me).

    2. I hear ya. It's only recently my interest ticked up again, and it's primarily a result of an abundance of free time at my work. Primitive will be very enjoyable: lotta nuggets in there.
