* Made a mistake on the first set, supposed to do 335 instead of 315. Attempted to drop down to 405 but it's just not happening

  1. I'm loving the dropsets. You and I are taking similar approaches on the squats these days. I just got a new toy for the home gym: a Bas Rutten Body Action System. While I'm teaching my kid TKD, I'm re-discovering the fun I had with combat sports. Now if only I could re-discover the skill, haha.

    1. My post got cut-off, I originally typed that the 405 isn't happening on my 5-rep day but on week 2 and 3 of 5/3/1 I've been able to hit 405x5 immediately after my top-set and go down. And oh man, I just saw you in action using it, looks awesome. Definitely something useful during quarantine time. I'm looking to get a basic punching bag again soon.

    2. I remembered you had a stand that you were chinning off of but didn't know if you had a bag to go with it. It's great to have something to hit. The BAS is a real treat: my favorite self contained unit. Good that you have a partner for focus mitts at the moment though; that goes a long way.
