Entry #20
Leg routine went great yesterday. Squats are BRUTAL, my legs were on
fire. Today is my "rest" day. I'll probably be practicing some martial
arts in the backyard.

New routine is awesome. My ultimate goal is to look like this, more or less in the same vicinity:

Entry #19
I've been doing my new routine the last two weeks. It involves cardio
twice a week, surprisingly. Today I'm working my legs. Tomorrow is
break.

Christmas I practiced Tae Kwon Do in the backyard and I'm getting much better. I'm much more flexible as well.

Entry #18
Yesterday I ran to the high school, did four laps around the track, and
ran back. Later in the evening I ran past the high school and went up
to the bookstore and ran back to the school, where I practiced some
moves in the football field. My kicks are still too sloppy to be very
effective; I need to work on maintaing my balance under a heavy kick.

Today I just ran to the school and ran back, no resting. Tomorrow is when I hit the weightroom again.

Entry #17
Going to be completely changing my workout. My new routine is going to
be using every technique to gain as much muscle mass as possible in the
next six weeks. If results are good, I'll continue until satisfactory.
I'm going to be off lifting until Monday, when I start this. I've been
doing much research lately and it should go as planned. I'll post the
cirriculum soon.

Entry #16
Haven't been doing as much as I'd want to because of this research
paper due Wednesday. Tomorrow is judgement day . . . once this thing is
over, I'm going lifting again. Tomorrow. I promise. Today kicked ass,
though. We did tackle football in PE when the teacher was away watching
the majority of the class play, what's that game again, uh . . . oh
yeah, tennis. Anyways, most of the kids wanted to do that, so the 10 of
us went by ourselves to the field for football. Then many of the kids
playing football wanted to stop, and as soon as the girls left, we did
tackle football (I wanted to do it even with the girls but everyone
else was being a wuss). Then we lost more players who wanted to go talk
or something. Basically, it ended with 4 guys tackling each
other. I didn't go down once. Good warm-up for tomorrow.

Entry #15
I grabbed the rim in basketball today. I am working on my vertical leap
so I can properly, as goes the common saying, "dunk the bajeezus
'outta it".

Workout today consisted of lower-body weight-lifting. Tomorrow is break day from lifting, so I will be doing bag work.

Entry #14
Yesterday, I increased all my weights. I am currently benching 185 lbs
at 4 repetitions. Also, have some new pictures that I took for
comparison to my old ones. I got a little bigger.

Entry #13
Just did cardio today. In PE we were instructed to do four laps around
the track. I did six. And I sprinted, too. Not that I need the extra
cardio; I am trying to bulk, after all. But I can't help it. Anyways,
tomorrow is when the heavy lifting starts again. My finger is a bit
better, though I can't bend it all the way still.

I should also note that I've been practicing push-ups every night
now. I can currently get up to 35, occasionally 40. I will post my
progress as I improve. Because I will improve.

Entry #12
Had a sparring match with George last night - in costume. George was
Xing, the invincible old Chinese kung-fu master. I don't have a picture
of George in costume, but here's Xing's symbol:

Anyways, he wore his old man mask and his Karate uniform. I went as the Terminator.

We had a sparring match in the park in costume and I accidentally
blocked a kick with my fingers. My middle finger is very stiff and I
can't hold things very well in that hand. I'm going to be taking a
break from lifting until Wednesday. I'll be back.

Entry #11
Never said how the fight went. It was between me and Marty Wood. They were two minute rounds, 1 minute breaks.

Me: 6'0
165 pounds
Little experience, this was my sixth fight

Him: 6'0
145 pounds
Experienced fighter, has won 20 fights

Round 1: He won, hands down. Gave me a bloody nose, and my lips got cut up from my braces. Note to self: use mouth guard!

Round
2: He won, got me in the face a lot and I started bleeding everywhere
again. I got some good hits though, it wasn't a slaughter like the
first round. He got frustrated.

Round 3: I won. His punches got
pretty predictable, he took the offensive though. He kept coming after
me and I kind of kept backing away, but almost all of his punches
missed, while I got a lot of good hits in. I think he got really mad
and he forgot to use technique. I don't like how I backed up a lot,
though. I need to stop doing that, even though I won.

Round 4: Tie. Neither of us got good hits in.

Then after about 10 minutes I fought another guy, Marty said he was done fighting.

Round
5: I won. He only got the side of my head a few times, and never the
front. I was able to deal with those pretty easily. At the end I got
him really hard right in the middle of his face and that got him really
mad. He went crazy and started throwing punches everywhere, then tired
himself out.

I had fun, the blood was worth it. My nose is fine
now, but my mouth feels like swiss cheese from braces. Need a mouth
guard for next time.

Entry #10
Haven't updated in a while. I have a fight tomorrow with this guy from
school. His friend asked me if I wanted to box him. It takes place at
his other friend's house, and I have no idea where he lives. I'll
update tomorrow.

Entry #9

Didn't get to update yesterday about the match. It kicked ass. I
went with George, but we left kind of late. When we got there, everyone
was already done. They said they were too tired to fight. So I just got
to fight George.

Round 1- Boxing: George was given some quick instructions on how to
box because it was his first match and then we went at it. He made the
same mistake I made a week ago in my first match: hands down the entire
time. He got some punches in my face but at the end I got him hard and
he stumbled back with a bloody lip. Then we just stopped for a break.
Very fast match, but good action. I won this one.

Round 2 - Tae
Kwon Do: Well, I've taken no Tae Kwon Do at all, but I tried my best.
It was mostly him attacking and me defending (although it was pretty
easy to block his moves). I got a few good hits in, but I'd say he won
here.

Round 2 - Tae Kwon Do: Same as before, he won. I pretty
much had my toe destroyed so I had to stop at the end. I guess I need
to learn how to kick right because I kept hitting my toe. It got way
worse later that night, now I can barely walk.

So I had fun, I just hope this heals soon. Good thing I'm bulking right now and don't need to worry about cardio.

Entry #8

I haven't updated all this week because of school. It's pretty hard
to go to the gym for a few hours when you get out at 3:15, and still
find time for homework. I have been going ot the gym after school but
that left me with almost no extra time. So, I've only been on the
computer for homework. Tuesday, I worked on chest, triceps, deltoids,
and abs. Wednesday, I worked on biceps, forearms, and back. Yesterday,
I did legs. Today, I'm just going to be working on the
punching-bag, and practice forms. Have to take it easy on the weights
today because tomorrow I have another match. Same guy, same place. Will
update tomorrow.

Entry #7

I did pretty good last night. I competed in four matches.

First match: Lost. I did horrible in my first one. I think I danced
around too much at the beginning and tired myself out. Also, my
opponent socked me right in the eye at one point and it started
watering up, and I couldn't see anything. I had to give up.

Second match: Tie. Nothing special happened here, we just duked it out until we both gave up.

Third match: Win. Have this one on film. Lasted 4 minutes 22
seconds. I wore him out pretty much. At the end I got him in a corner
and wailed on him and he gave up.

Fourth match: Win. This was against a different person than the last
three. Have this one on film. Fight lasted 1 minute 41 seconds. He hit
pretty hard but I dodged almost all of them. I got him hard in the
stomach, also got some face shots in. He gave up.

Strong points:
Strength/hitting power is at a good level
Speed is at a good level
Dodged a lot of shots, good blocking

Weak points:
Lack of bodyshots (still head hunting)
Need to work on endurance (I tired out pretty fast)

Here are some blurry pics of me versus Malcolm (I'm in the brown):

Haha, he just couldn't stop laughing. That was my first time meeting
Malcolm and it was worth the 45 minute drive to Santa Cruz. He can sure
cook good barbeque.

Entry #6
Nothing really happening today. I have a fight tomorrow in Santa
Cruz at my friend's house, so I'm saving my strength for tomorrow. I'll
post what happens on Sunday. Hopefully, I'll have some pictures of it
by then as well.

Entry #3
Nothing much today. Managed to get in some bagwork for a few minutes,
along with nunchaku practice. I'll start my training schedule
tomorrow. Also, I might be participating in a match this Saturday. The
only problem is getting a ride all the way to Santa Cruz. If I do make
it, I'll try to post some pictures. I really need to work on my
technique more. Last match I had didn't go very well. It's true I was
wearing loose shoes, but I was really sloppy. Gotta work on that.

Entry #2
I'm not going to be doing a whole lot of training today or
tomorrow due to all the homework I have. Wednesday, I'm going to
be going to the gym. I plan on recording my hours of sleep, my diet,
and the work that I do. I can at least do some bagwork
tomorrow. On another note, I received one of the nunchaku that I
ordered in the mail today. It's a practice one, so it's made out of
rubber. The real one should be coming in a week or so. I got a
chance to practice with them for about ten minutes.

Trust me, it looks even worse in motion. Verdict: I suck with nunchaku.
