Knee hurt on first set, little less so subsequently. This was surprisingly challenging, mostly coming "unstuck" off the box.
Neck crunches

Using a Spud neck harness, way harder than holding a plate on my head.

SSB box squats are brutal. I think you'd notice some great carryover to stones on it. Seems like it would replicate the exact moment you have the stone lapped and need to transition to the platform.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, I definitely felt my back trying to collapse under the bar as I tried to sit up. I've done heavier years ago (when my shoulder dislocated and I did nothing but SSB squatting) and don't remember them being so hard at that time.
